Our client is a well‑established engineering company based in St Leonards on Sea. A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience within a warehouse, experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift, be computer literate and hold a good eye for detail. You will also be able to work well in a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.

As a Warehouse Operative you will be:

  • Receiving delivery of goods and storing them
  • Checking for damaged or missing items
  • Moving stock by hand
  • Packaging of goods
  • Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending
  • Keeping and maintaining stock records
  • Data entry
  • Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner

The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:

  • Demonstrable experience within a Warehouse
  • Experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift
  • Be computer literate
  • Hold a good eye for detail
  • Be able to work well in a team
  • Ability to complete paperwork and take stock
  • Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently

Salary: £12.71 per hour

Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm (39 Hours per week)

Location: St Leonards on Sea, East Sussex

Start Date: ASAP
