We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative/Driver with a full, clean UK drivers licence for our client based in the West London area. When not working in the warehouse, the successful Warehouse Operative/Driver candidate shall assist with the deliveries of high quality goods manufactured by our multi-national client.

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES of Warehouse Operative/Driver:

  • Picking and packing
  • Loading and offloading vehicles and trailers
  • Day-to-day administration
  • Participation in the stock take
  • Filling in of Check Sheets, Delivery Notes
  • Weighing and labelling of goods
  • Pallet strapping and shrink wrapping
  • Conducting deliveries of the company's high quality goods, driving a 3.5 ton Vehicle

Essential Warehouse Operative/Driver candidate requirements:

  • Must hold a full, clean UK drivers licence
  • Provide a friendly and helpful response to customer enquiries to their total satisfaction
  • Identify and work with third party distribution providers, identify potential problems to ensure the smooth flow of orders and customer satisfaction
  • Ensure that complaints, as they affect your direct responsibility, are promptly dealt with, in a professional manner
  • Maintain company property to the required standard
  • Represent the company in a business-like manner and maintain a standard of dress and appearance in keeping with the job and position within the company
  • Co-operate with management on all aspects of health and safety
  • Need previous experience of the Health and Safety standards of the warehouse
  • Be prepared to assist with out-of-hours services to customers when the need arises
  • A Forklift/Counter Balance licence would be an advantage
  • Excellent grasp and understanding of Maths and English written and verbal is essential

HOURS: 07:30am - 5pm Monday to Friday. You must be prepared to work longer hours to meet company targets. This is inclusive of London living wage, the standard hour rate is £13 with agency; once the successful candidate goes permanent, their rate will go to £13.50. Overtime is paid at time and a half of £19.50 ph with agency. This is a temporary ongoing position with the possibility of securing a permanent role for the successful Warehouse Operative/Driver candidate.
