Role: Warehouse Operations Manager - 4 On 4 Off Rotational Days & Nights - 3PL Contract Logistics.
Company: Leading Global 3PL Contract Logistics Provider.
Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire (LE17).
Salary & Benefits: 60,000 - 70,000 + Holidays & Package.
Shift Pattern: The role works to a rotational 06:00 - 18:00 & 18:00 - 06:00 shift pattern on a 4 on 4 off basis.
Responsibilities
- Reporting Line: Reporting to the Site General Manager.
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily warehouse and distribution activities, ensuring operational plans are executed effectively during site start-up.
- Team Management: Lead, coach and support front line managers, supervisors and operatives, maintaining a visible presence on the warehouse floor.
- Client Relationships: Act as a key day-to-day operational contact for customers, ensuring service delivery meets expectations.
- Commercial Responsibility & Budget Management: Monitor daily operational costs, labour usage and resource allocation.
- Performance Metrics: Track and manage KPIs on a daily and shift basis.
- Compliance: Maintain health & safety standards on-site, conducting regular checks.
- Process Optimisation: Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements.
- Innovation: Support the roll out and use of new systems, equipment and automation.
- Supplier Relationships: Manage day-to-day interactions with on-site suppliers and service providers.
The Candidate
- A Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain Background - Essential.
- A minimum of 5+ years in a managerial role - Essential.
- Proven 3PL Warehousing experience required - Advantageous.
- Exposure to successful & sizeable start up operations - Advantageous.
- Previous budgetary responsibility across medium to large sized DC operations - Essential.
- Strong leadership and team management skills - Essential.
- Prior commercial knowledge of the UK logistics and warehousing market - Advantageous.
- An individual excited by large scale growth challenges - Essential.
- Able to work on a permanent 4 on 4 off rotational shift pattern - Essential.
- Commutable to Lutterworth area 4 x days per week - Essential.
