We are seeking a reliable, customer-focused Temporary Delivery Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. This position is ideal for an experienced driver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional service to our valued customers.

As a Temporary Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods across multiple locations throughout your designated route, ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our commitment to excellence. Working hours would cover 40 hours per week, with 1 in 2 Saturday mornings also involved. This is temporary cover for holidays, volume and sickness therefore flexibility is a must!

Hourly rate starts at £12.71 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute efficient multidrop delivery routes, completing between 25-40 stops per day depending on route density and package volume.
  • Load and organise delivery vehicle at the start of each shift, ensuring packages are arranged for optimal route efficiency.
  • Accurately scan and process all packages using handheld devices or mobile applications at each delivery point.
  • Navigate assigned delivery routes using GPS systems and route planning software to maximise efficiency and minimise fuel consumption.
  • Adapt to route changes and additional deliveries as required throughout the working day.
  • Safely handle packages of varying sizes and weights, following proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed within designated time windows and service level agreements.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain proof of delivery signatures or photographs as required.
