We are working with a well-established Heavy Industry/FMCG company based in the Wakefield area. They are looking for a lead electrical engineer to join them on a Days only basis.

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000

Job Role:

  • Maintaining existing plant and equipment and assisting with new installations on site.
  • Supporting the wider engineering team across sites.
  • Responding to breakdowns efficiently in order to reduce machine downtime and increase production across site, minimising breakdowns through regular PPM's.
  • Improving current systems on site including any technical documentation.
  • Complying with all health & safety regulations and reviewing safety systems.

Job Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge and capability to handle the Electrical and Mechanical engineering activities of their plant.
  • Experience leading a small team of Engineers.
  • Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical engineering discipline.
  • 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Experience with Power Distribution, Emergency Generators and UPS systems.
  • Familiarity with Instrumentation and Process Controllers.
  • Practical knowledge of PLCs, Motor Control and Variable Speed Drives.
  • Experience, preferably in a 24/7 Production Environment.
  • Working on a Call Out basis when required.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant electrical Qualifications - NVQ/ONC/HNC Apprentice Trained.
  • Experience in high pressure FMCG environment.
  • Qualified in 18 Edition BS7671 Electrical Regulations - Advantageous.
  • H.V. Awareness Qualification - Advantageous.
  • Siemens S5 and S7 experience - Advantageous.
