As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the performance, safety and compliance of software and hardware products within the defence industry. You will work with Software and Systems teams, supporting the delivery of complex, multi-domain command and control systems.
Responsibilities
- Promote best practice throughout the Verification & Validation engineering lifecycle, ensuring compliance with defence industry standards.
- Plan, execute and report on V&V activities using approved tools, methods and processes.
- Lead/supervise engineers to support the delivery of defined work packages.
- Contribute to project documentation, including requirements, design estimates, management plans, metrics and technical reviews.
- Participate in design reviews, risk reviews, integration, acceptance and diagnostic testing activities.
Requirements
- Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Software, Control Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience planning and delivering Verification & Validation activities within a systems engineering environment.
- Experience working within a highly regulated environment, i.e. Aerospace, Defence, Automotive etc.
- Experience using IBM DOORS or similar.
- Ability to mentor, supervise and support junior engineers.
- Due to the nature of the work, applicants MUST be sole British Nationals for Security Clearance.
