The Driver Labourer will work alongside skilled mechanics, maintaining high standards across the workshop and welfare areas, and preparing vehicles and equipment for maintenance and MOT testing.
- Keeping workshop, depot and welfare facilities clean, safe and well-organised
- Steam cleaning vehicles and specialist plant to approved standards
- Supporting mechanics with basic servicing tasks such as lubrication, greasing, oil and filter changes
- Collecting and delivering vehicles, parts and consumables to minimise vehicle downtime
- Presenting vehicles (including LGVs/HGVs) for MOT testing
- Driving vehicles to identify and report faults
- Assisting with manual handling and removal of vehicle components
- Working both indoors and outdoors in a busy, professional workshop environment
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- A reliable and positive team player with a practical mindset
- Comfortable with physical work and working in all weather conditions
- An interest in vehicles or mechanical work (experience helpful but not essential)
