We are recruiting an experienced Van Technician / Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our busy commercial vehicle workshop in the Hounslow / Heathrow area. You will be supporting a large customer base of well-known companies operating extensive vehicle fleets, providing a varied, stable, and consistent workload within a fast-paced workshop environment. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities who takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship.
The Role
- You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of light commercial vehicles to a high standard while working efficiently to meet workshop deadlines.

- Sprinters
- Long wheelbase vehicles
- Transits
- All makes and models of commercial vans
Responsibilities
- Servicing, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles
- Diagnostics and fault finding using diagnostic equipment
- Mechanical and electrical repairs
- MOT preparation and inspections
- Completing job cards and service sheets accurately
- Using electronic tablets and workshop systems
- Taking photographs of damaged or defective parts for warranty purposes
- Ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard after repair
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety within the workshop
- Liaising with the Workshop Foreman and management to prioritise workload
- Attending occasional local breakdowns when required
- Ensuring all work is completed within allocated times
- Maintaining accurate timesheets and good timekeeping
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Van Technician, LCV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
- Experience working on multiple makes and models of vans
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High attention to detail and reliability
- Full UK driving licence preferred (less than 6 points desirable)
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds desirable
- Ability to provide a 5-year work history to obtain an enhanced criminal records check for Heathrow airside access
Desirable
- HGV licence preferred but not essential
- Previous experience in a busy commercial workshop environment
