About the Role
We're looking for a passionate and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen in a vibrant, fast‑paced caf environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands‑on leader as a Head Chef who thrives on delivering great food, inspiring a team, and running a commercially successful kitchen. You’ll play a key role in shaping our client’s food offering, maintaining high standards, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently while hitting key financial targets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading, motivating, and developing a high‑performing kitchen team
- Taking full ownership of kitchen operations, from prep to service
- Creating and evolving menus that excite our customers and suit a leisure environment
- Managing kitchen budgets, including food costs, labour, and waste control
- Driving consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes
- Planning staff rotas in line with business needs
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and managing stock effectively
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
- Working closely with front‑of‑house to deliver a great all‑round customer experience
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high‑volume caf or casual dining environment
- A strong leader who can inspire, coach, and develop a team
- Commercially aware with experience managing budgets and kitchen KPIs
- Calm under pressure and able to thrive in a busy leisure setting
- Passion for food, quality, and customer experience
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
