We are recruiting for a Trainee Transport Supervisor to work for our client based in Garretts Green. Hours - there is an element of flexibility, however the right candidate will be able to work a late morning/afternoon shift. Salary 27,500 per annum. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within the transport and logistics industry. The successful candidate will receive full training and support whilst gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of transport operations, driver management, route planning, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the day-to-day running of the transport department
  • Supporting driver briefings and debriefings
  • Monitoring vehicle movements and delivery schedules
  • Helping to ensure compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
  • Liaising with drivers, customers, and warehouse staff
  • Updating transport systems and records accurately
  • Assisting with vehicle maintenance scheduling and defect reporting
  • Providing excellent customer service and resolving operational issues

Candidate Requirements

  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work
  • Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehousing would be advantageous but is not essential
