The predicted salary is between 26000 - 26000 £ per year.

Location: Edinburgh City Centre, fully office‑based. Permanent role. Full‑time hours Monday to Friday. Salary up to £26,000 per annum plus benefits (depending on experience).

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administration and secretarial support to a number of partners and associates within the Private Client team. This role best suits a candidate with prior administrative experience, preferably within the legal or professional services industry, who wants to progress with an industry leader.

Responsibilities
  • Complete legal documentation, forms and correspondence on instruction from fee earners in a timely fashion.
  • Carry out copy and audio‑typing of correspondence and legal documents as required.
  • Deal with confidential Private Client documentation including Powers of Attorney, Wills and Deeds.
  • Handle incoming calls to the department, dealing with initial queries, taking and passing on messages and referring calls to the appropriate person if required.
  • Ensure that client files and the internal client system are accurately updated following any contact.
  • Perform other administration and secretarial work as directed by the Support Manager and Partners.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within an administration role is ESSENTIAL (legal administration experience preferred).
  • Solid organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
  • First‑class communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to show empathy when dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
