We are looking for a Trainee Electroplating Operative to join a busy engineering workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in engineering, manufacturing, or aerospace finishing processes. Full training will be provided, so no previous electroplating experience is required.

What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting the electroplating team with day-to-day workshop tasks
  • Loading and unloading components into processing equipment
  • Assisting with cleaning, rinsing, masking, and preparation of metal parts
  • Helping to apply protective metal coatings to components
  • Learning how to set up and operate plating equipment safely
  • Handling components using lifting equipment and approved methods
  • Keeping your work area clean, safe, and organised
  • Following clear procedures, drawings, and instructions
  • Recording work using IQ Move

What we're looking for:

  • A strong willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Good attitude towards health & safety and following procedures
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on, workshop environment
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic understanding of engineering or manufacturing (helpful but not required)
