An established and highly respected engineering manufacturer based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that specialises in bespoke stainless‑steel fabrication, structural metalwork, and precision engineering projects for commercial and industrial sectors.

The Role

This is a hands‑on fabrication position where you will be involved in projects from start to finish. The company operates a "one person, one job" approach, allowing engineers to take ownership of their work throughout the manufacturing process. Typical duties include:

  • MIG and TIG welding
  • Stainless steel vessel fabrication
  • Sheet metal and plate work
  • Stainless steel pipework fabrication
  • Structural steel fabrication including:
    • Platforms
    • Frames
    • Walkways
    • Staircases
  • Occasional machine work
  • Rare site installation work when required

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Around 8 years' hands‑on fabrication and welding experience
  • Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
  • Experience working with stainless steel
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to undertake occasional site work

Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
