An established organisation within the automotive sector is looking for a Warranty & Technical Claims Specialist to join a small, specialist team. The role focuses on investigating product-related issues and warranty claims, supporting trade customers, and helping to protect the reputation of the products in the market. This position is based in West Kent and is only realistically accessible to candidates who drive and have their own vehicle.

The Role

  • Support the end-to-end handling of warranty and product-related claims from trade customers.
  • Review claim information submitted through internal systems and help decide whether to:
    • Authorise low-value claims,
    • Request further information, or
    • Arrange for parts to be returned for technical inspection.
  • Assist with the technical review of failed components for cars and trucks, taking into account possible product, usage, or installation issues.
  • Contribute to clear, professional communication with trade customers about claim outcomes and reasoning.
  • Work closely with colleagues in administration and inspection to ensure claims are processed accurately and within agreed timeframes.
  • Help maintain and enhance standards of service and brand protection through balanced, commercially aware decision-making.

About You

  • Background in a technical, mechanical automotive environment is essential for example: Automotive parts / aftermarket, Warranty, technical support or quality, Garage, workshop or service environment.
  • Confident working with information and detail; able to:
    • Analyse claim data,
    • Identify potential causes through physical inspection of car/truck parts, and
    • Support fair, evidence-based decisions.
  • Comfortable balancing technical facts with commercial and customer considerations.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with a professional, measured style.
  • Able to represent the organisation positively in all customer interactions.
  • Enjoys being part of a small, focused team, contributing to a consistent, high standard of work.
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and has own transport, due to the location.
