A well-established manufacturer of high-end timber doors and panels for commercial and residential projects is seeking a Polisher and Sprayer to join their production team. This role involves surface preparation, spray finishing, and quality control to ensure all products meet exceptional finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare timber surfaces including sanding, filling, masking, and cleaning
- Apply finishes using spray equipment such as HVLP and airless systems
- Spray paints, lacquers, stains, and finishing coats
- Inspect and rectify defects including runs, sags, and uneven coatings
- Mix and match paints to correct specifications
- Maintain spray booth, tools, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work to production deadlines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Experience as a sprayer, polisher, finisher, or paint sprayer
- Background in joinery, furniture, woodworking, or timber manufacturing
- Knowledge of spray systems such as HVLP or airless preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills
- Understanding of surface preparation and finishing techniques
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Own transport essential due to location
Trainee candidates will be considered if they have basic knowledge of wood, paint, or finishing processes and demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Salary & Benefits
- Circa 35,000 depending on experience
- Monday to Thursday 7:00am to 4:00pm - Friday 7:00am to 3:15pm
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Company pension scheme
- Free on-site parking
