Location: HMP Wealstun

Shift Pattern: Full time 37 Hours, Monday to Friday

Hourly rate: 12.99 Per Hour, increasing to upwards of 22.73 with overtime.

Ready for a rewarding role in the justice system? We're hiring an Operational Support Grade (SSO) to join our team in HMP Wealstun. Contribute to vital security operations including gate duties, visitor checks, prisoner escorts, CCTV monitoring, and more.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage entry/exit and searches at the gate
  • Escort contractors, vehicles, and prisoners
  • Monitor CCTV, report suspicious activity
  • Process visitors and oversee mail censorship
  • Assist with prisoner processing and food delivery
