Children and Young People Therapist
Location: Middlesbrough, Tees Valley & North East Region
Contract: Temporary 14-16 Weeks, 3 or 4 Days Per Week

NonStop Care is working with a specialist children’s service to recruit an experienced Therapist in Middlesbrough. This contract is on a temporary basis to support children and young people aged 3‑19 who have experienced sexual harm and abuse. This is meaningful work with a National Charity, it is suited for someone who is available for work and looking for a chance to get involved working on a special project. This is a rewarding opportunity for a qualified therapist to deliver one‑to‑one and group therapeutic interventions, working closely with children, young people and families across the Tees Valley and North East region.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering therapeutic support to children, young people and families
- Managing complex and sensitive casework
- Working in partnership with parents/carers and external agencies
- Maintaining accurate case notes and reports
- Applying safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
- Contributing to positive outcomes and service development
Requirements:
- Diploma-level qualification (or equivalent) in counselling, psychotherapy, play therapy, art therapy, drama therapy or music therapy
- Experience working directly with children, young people and families
- Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge
- Must be a driver and have access to own car
