Part Time HR Administrator – HYBRID

Location: Edinburgh City Centre

Start: ASAP

Duration: Initially 3 months with the potential to be extended

Rate: £15 per hour

Hours: 30 hours per week across 4‑5 days

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an organised, adaptable, and confident HR Administrator to join a busy and fast paced team. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives on managing multiple priorities and enjoys working within a dynamic environment.

The Role

You will play a key role in supporting a high volume HR function, acting as a central point of coordination across a range of administrative and people related processes. This is a varied role offering exposure to recruitment, systems support, and employee lifecycle administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and monitoring shared HR inboxes
  • Responding to queries and escalating where necessary
  • Supporting end to end recruitment administration including:
    • Advertising vacancies
    • Issuing offers
    • Coordinating pre‑employment checks
    • Onboarding new starters
  • Maintaining recruitment trackers and updating HR systems
  • Acting as a first point of contact for HR queries
  • Supporting the implementation of a new HR system
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
  • Assisting with HR process improvements and guidance documentation
  • Supporting coordination and tracking of training activity

About You

  • Proven administrative experience in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Experience working across databases and systems
  • Resilient, adaptable, and a quick learner
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Discreet and professional when handling confidential information
  • Previous HR experience is desirable but not essential
