Barker Ross is currently recruiting for a reliable Cleaner Operative to join a dedicated team on an industrial site in the WN2 area of Wigan. This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable individual looking for immediate work with a reputable agency.

Location: Wigan (WN2)

Start Date: Thursday, 15th May

Pay Rate: 12.71 per hour

Payment: Weekly (PAYE)

Schedule: Monday - Friday 06:00 - 14:30

Duration: Temporary (approx. 1-2 weeks, with potential for extension)

The Role

Based on an industrial site, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous cleaning experience is required. Please note that while this is an industrial environment, the hiring company will provide full training and a site induction on your first day to ensure you are fully up to speed with their specific site requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Executing general cleaning duties across various site areas.
  • Ensuring work zones remain clean, organized, and safe.
  • Strictly following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
  • Safe operation of cleaning equipment and handling of products.

What You'll Need

  • Experience: A proven background in professional cleaning is essential.
  • Knowledge: A solid understanding of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health).
  • Attitude: Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Required PPE: You must own and wear safety boots and a Hi-Vis vest/jacket.
