Our manufacturing client based in the south of Telford is looking for a full time, temporary to permanent trainee powder coater/production operative, to join their busy and forward thinking team.

This is a very diverse role and not limited to one job. As part of the powder coating side, you will be part of a small production team, picking stock from warehouse using internally generated works orders. You will be using power tools, Dremel, buffing wheel, cleaning, masking & hanging of components, powder coating components and using good oven management to ensure maximum efficiency.

Powder coating booth housekeeping will include full clean down of all equipment on colour change, Gun & cup, line, filters, catch draw etc., ensuring all PPE (supplied) is used at the correct times. You may be asked to perform other tasks and duties within your capability.

In addition, you will be assembling small component products using basic hand tools and jig, spanners, sockets, screwdrivers etc.

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience of powder coating small components/manufacturing is advantageous but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate
  • Able to complete mechanical based tasks using small hand tools and good dexterity
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Good attention to detail and consistent levels of accuracy
  • Enthusiastic & self-motivated with the ability to follow safe systems of work and take personal responsibility
  • Be flexible and help where necessary

Salary £13.00 Per Hour

Hours Monday - Thursday, 8:00am to 4:45pm; Early Finish of 3:30pm Friday
