Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (overtime available)

Salary: £27,000 rising to £28,000 after probation

About the Role:

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Warehouse Operative/ Workshop Operative to join a busy and growing operation in Chandlers Ford. This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse operations with mechanical and electrical testing. It is ideal for someone from a trades/workshop, engineering, maintenance, or technical background who enjoys practical work and problem-solving. You will be working with a variety of equipment, supporting engineers, and ensuring all items are tested, recorded, and prepared correctly for use.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test a range of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Support engineers with testing, preparation, loading and unloading of equipment
  • Pick and process job orders accurately and efficiently
  • Record equipment data and report any faults or issues
  • Assist with stock checks, audits, and inventory control
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised warehouse/workshop environment
  • Clean large equipment using pressure washing and cleaning equipment
  • Follow all health & safety procedures at all times

About You:

We are looking for someone practical, reliable, and technically minded who enjoys hands-on work. You will ideally have:

  • Experience in a warehouse, workshop, engineering, mechanical or electrical environment (essential)
  • A background in mechanical or electrical work, servicing, maintenance or equipment testing (desirable)
  • Basic IT skills, including Outlook
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A flexible attitude and willingness to work overtime when required
  • Ability to follow processes and maintain high standards of accuracy

Essential requirement:

  • Full UK driving licence

Beneficial (not essential):

  • Forklift licence
