Role Overview
Looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Street Works Technician to join our friendly team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with assessing Streetworks permits and network coordination processes
- Providing basic technical advice (with support from senior colleagues)
- Using digital tools, mapping systems and databases
- Responding to and dealing with emails
- Preparing maps, plans, tables and reports
- Supporting colleagues with administration and accuracy checking
- Dealing with Utility companies and contractors working on behalf of Somerset Council
- Dealing with members of the public and helping to resolve urgent highways issues
- Attending meetings and occasional site visits as needed
