We are seeking an experienced and motivated SEND Assessment & Review Officer to join our SEND service. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating and managing Education, Health and Care Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews, ensuring statutory duties are met and that children and young people receive high-quality, outcome-focused EHCPs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate EHC Needs Assessments and Annual Reviews within statutory timescales
- Work collaboratively with families, schools, professionals, and partner agencies
- Ensure EHCPs are person‑centred, legally compliant, and of high quality
- Review professional advice and assessment information to support informed decision‑making
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to service improvement activity
- Support positive outcomes for children and young people with SEND
About You
- Experience working within SEND services or a statutory SEND environment
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
- Experience managing EHCP processes, assessments, or reviews
- Excellent communication, organisational, and case coordination skills
- Ability to work effectively within statutory deadlines and manage competing priorities
