Location: Taunton

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 16.00 (15.05 Fridays)

Pay: 14.66 - 16.00 per hour (dependent on PAYE or Umbrella)

Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join a supportive secondary school in Taunton. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

The Role:

  • Supporting students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social/emotional needs
  • Working closely with teaching staff to deliver tailored interventions
  • Providing one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting with classroom activities and behaviour management
  • Promoting inclusion and emotional wellbeing

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or other settings)
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Right to work in the UK
