Global pharmaceutical manufacturing company seeking a Production Manufacturing Technician in a GMP cleanroom environment creating drug products / compounding as directed by the production planning system to meet cGMP, current pharmaceutical regulations and EH&S requirements.
Hours of work: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm / 7:00 pm to 7:00 am 2 days work / 2 nights then 4 days off.
Day‑to‑day duties include:
- Accurately complete documentation related to the Encapsulation process.
- Operate and maintain up to two Encapsulation Machines (covers up to four during breaks).
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Perform in‑process checks and evaluate product quality.
- Monitor material and gel usage at the machine and change receivers to ensure components are not used past expiration.
- Monitor encapsulation process to minimize product rejection.
- Tear down machine at changeover.
- Set up/assemble Encapsulation Machine for operation per batch record instructions.
- Troubleshoot equipment to maintain quality product.
- Monitor and replenish solvents and lubricants as required.
- Stock control and replenishment.
- Packaging and labelling.
Contract details: 3‑month contract based in Swindon, subject to review for possible extension or permanent placement depending on candidate and business performance.
Pay: £13.90 per hour.
Qualifications & experience:
- Ideally GMP production/operator experience in pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (JDE preferred), MS Office, and inventory control processes.
- Clean shaven required.
- Experience with reach truck, counter‑balance or VNA forklift and warehouse operations preferred.
