Based in the home counties, you will thrive on developing relationships with customers while improving and mentoring your staff.

LOCATION: An office-based leadership role with occasional international travel; you could be based anywhere within 75 minutes of our office in Berkshire.
Job Description
As the head of the UK business, you will report directly to the Group. You will take on a stable, profitable business with an established team and will be heavily involved in the next phase of growth in a mature UK market. You will receive a strong handover from the current General Manager.
As our General Manager you will:
- Lead and develop the UK team to achieve realistic revenue and profit targets set by the wider group.
- Drive business generation and remain customer-facing, enjoying the sales cycle.
- Set sales objectives and strategies and motivate the sales team as you see fit.
- Oversee all leadership elements for the business (Full P&L circa £10m t/o), including coaching and motivating.
- Work with and develop the team of direct reports and oversee development of indirect reports.
- Carry out regular market analysis to stay ahead of competition and economic indicators.
- Help drive into new market focus areas and maximise growth opportunities.
- Demonstrate operational excellence by managing inventory, logistics and assembly teams.
Qualifications & Experience
Ultimately, as our General Manager you will:
- Be a commercially minded business leader with a track record of developing and growing sales in an SME environment.
- Hold expertise in client management and the ability to network senior industry professionals to generate new business.
- Have varied industry exposure with a keen focus on technical products/services/solutions; aptitude and interest to learn are more important than industry specificity.
- Bring gravitas and presence to drive a sales strategy where you are the face of the business.
- Manage a multi-million-pound P&L.
- Show genuine enthusiasm for the SME environment and thrive in a “many hats” role.
