Rate: £350 - £420 per day

Duration: Long-Term Contract

ARC are recruiting for an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Norfolk. Rate depends on with or without equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile civil engineering scheme, supporting the delivery of complex groundworks, earthworks, drainage and reinforced concrete packages.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for drainage, ducting, foundations, access roads and associated civil engineering works.
  • Carrying out site surveys and establishing control points.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate site records and as-built surveys.
  • Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors and design teams.
  • Conducting quality checks and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Assisting with earthworks calculations, levels and volume measurements.
  • Supporting health, safety and environmental compliance on site.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on major civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways, energy or substation projects.
  • Competent using surveying equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Experience producing as-built surveys and site records.
  • Strong understanding of drainage, earthworks, reinforced concrete and groundworks packages.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable:

  • Experience working on National Grid, energy or substation projects.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • AutoCAD experience.
