We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and proactive Caretaker to join our school team based in Swaffham. The successful candidate will help ensure our school premises are safe, clean, secure, and well maintained for pupils, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and locking the school premises daily
  • Carrying out basic maintenance and minor repairs
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the school grounds
  • Monitoring heating, lighting, and security systems
  • Setting up rooms and equipment for school activities and events
  • Liaising with contractors and reporting maintenance issues
  • Supporting health and safety procedures across the site

Requirements

  • Practical maintenance or caretaking experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

  • Aware of health and safety standards

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.

Working Hours

This is a split-shift role:

  • Morning shift: 7:30am - 9:00am
  • Evening shift: 2:30pm - 6:00pm
