We are working on behalf of our client, a reputable franchise‑approved car dealership in Abingdon, to recruit a skilled and customer‑focused Vehicle Service Advisor. Duties of a Service Advisor:

  • Greet customers in the Service Department and manage reception duties efficiently
  • Schedule vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repairs, ensuring customer needs are met
  • Liaise closely with the workshop team to monitor work in progress and update customers accordingly
  • Arrange for courtesy vehicles when required
  • Upsell additional products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and vehicle details
  • Ensure compliance with warranty procedures and liaise with vehicle manufacturers as necessary

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

  • Proven experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or within a similar automotive customer service role
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with IT literacy
  • A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver excellent customer service and maximise upselling opportunities
  • Knowledge of warranty procedures and liaising with manufacturers is advantageous but not essential
