About Victoria
Victoria, 19, loves funny stories, having books read to her, trips to the park, museums and immersive projects. She can communicate with yes/no, facial expressions, vocalisations and gestures. She is a full-time wheelchair user and needs full support with daily living, personal care, feeding, medication and exercises. Her home is fully adapted with hoists. Victoria enjoys meal textures that are blended or mashed.
The Role at a Glance
- 7 days on / 7 days off rota (usually 2 weeks on/off).
- Monday handover at 11:00 am.
- During term time, Victoria is picked up at 8:00 am and should be ready for breakfast by 7:00 am.
- After school, her routine requires calm and organised support for tailored activities.
- Mealtimes can take time; patience, encouragement and creativity are essential.
- Evening routine includes shower, bedtime story at 7:00 pm; night shifts are on-call with a monitor in place.
- Weekends and school holidays have a relaxed schedule.
- International travel occurs; typical pattern is 2-weeks on, 2-weeks off.
This Job Would Suit
A highly experienced female SEN Nanny / PA with excellent experience supporting young adults with physical and learning disability. Extensive experience with manual handling, hoists and personal care. Patient, empathetic, kind, energetic, warm, naturally smiley and capable of being animated or calm as needed. Comfortable working within a fully staffed household and collaborating with Victoria’s mum. Flexibility and love of travel are required.

- Valid passport and willing to travel extensively with the family
- Driving: confident driver, automatic adapted vehicle for duty

- Days & hours: 7 days on / 7 days off, handover Monday 11:00 am
- Accommodation: A bedroom with kitchenette provided on duty
- Pets: Cat
