Overview: An opportunity has arisen for a MIG & TIG Welder for our client, based in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
- Set up welding equipment, select appropriate materials, and adjust welding parameters
- Fabricate, fit, and weld parts and assemblies to specification
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and appearance
- Grind, finish, and repair welds as required
- Maintain welding equipment and tools
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fabrication and welding
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques
- Knowledge of working with different metals such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
