The Role
We’re looking for a Streetworks Coordinator to play a key role in the planning and delivery of streetworks activity, ensuring full compliance with the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA). Working within a fast-paced regional team, you’ll be at the centre of coordination between project teams, local authorities, and stakeholders keeping works moving smoothly, compliantly, and efficiently from planning through to completion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys detail, responsibility, and variety in their day-to-day work, and who wants to be part of delivering essential infrastructure across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Raise, manage, and close Streetworks permits using Street Manager
- Ensure full compliance with NRSWA, proactively reducing risk of fines and breaches
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date programmes of works
- Coordinate third-party requirements including road closures, parking suspensions, and bus stop diversions
- Manage Section 50 licences, FPNs, and Section 74 charge processes
- Liaise confidently with Highway Authorities, responding to feedback and required amendments
- Support project teams with planning, scheduling, and progress reporting
- Contribute to KPI tracking and performance reporting across the region
- Produce clear and accurate reports for planned and live works
- Support audits, compliance checks, and project reviews
Requirements (essential)
- Working knowledge of NRSWA and streetworks legislation
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
- High attention to detail with strong organisational ability
- Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
