I am looking for an experienced Stores Operative to work in the Stores/Warehouse of a busy Manufacturing company based in Gildersome, working on the Day shift. This is a mixed role and will suit someone looking for a busy role, with lots of different tasks throughout the day. Ideally you will have worked within the Manufacturing/Engineering industries.
Day to day tasks for the successful candidate will be:
- Goods in and out
- Booking stock in and out on the system
- Loading/Unloading vehicles by both FLT and Handballing
- Stock taking and stock control
- Packing items ready for dispatch
- Basic checks and maintenance of machines and equipment
- Driving the company van for collections and deliveries
- General yard, workshop and warehouse duties
Key skills required for the role include:
- Must hold a Full UK Driving License
- C/B FLT License would be beneficial
- Basic computer/IT skills and knowledge is essential
- Safety, Environmental and Quality awareness
- A team player who can use their own initiative
- Capable of working unsupervised
- Combi and/or overhead crane license would be advantageous
You will be required to work 7am to 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, with Overtime available on Fridays. The Pay Rate for the role is experience dependant, starting between £14p/hr to £14.80p/hr, with overtime paid at time + . The role is advertised as Temp to Perm for the right candidate.
