Location: Stonehouse

Hours: 7.30am - 4.30pm Mon to Thurs, 7.30am - 12.30pm Friday

Salary: £30,000

Key Responsibilities of a Quality Inspector:

  • Perform first-off inspections and complete first article reports in line with customer and internal requirements
  • Carry out in-process and final inspections against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Conduct incoming goods inspection
  • Use a range of inspection equipment and gauges
  • Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
  • Identify and report non-conforming products in line with procedures
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action activities
  • Ensure all equipment is within calibration prior to use
  • Maintain a clean, organised inspection area
  • Support internal audits, 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives

Key Skills of a Quality Inspector:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or precision engineering environment
  • Experience using inspection devices and gauges
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in an inspection department
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • IT literate with experience completing electronic inspection reports
