Role: Despatch Operative

Location: Stonehouse GL10

Rate: £14.39 + holidays

Duration: 12 months+

Our client is seeking an experienced Despatch Operative to work as a member of the Dispatch Team primarily responsible for picking and packing customer orders and attaching all associated shipping documentation and palletising in readiness for carrier collection.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Daily picking and packing of customer orders
  • Putting away in set locations and booking onto IT system
  • Checking customer orders with accuracy and reporting any errors to dispatch supervisor
  • Completing all dispatch paperwork to correct standards
  • Ensuring that all processes are carried out in line with standard operating procedures
  • Good, effective communications; raise any non-conformities to be actioned
  • Any other duties as requested by a member of the management team

Skills:

  • Good verbal and written skills
  • A proactive thinker with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge and basic user of Microsoft Office tools (SAP would be an advantage)
  • Strong organisational skills
