A growing and forward‑thinking residential developer delivering high‑quality design & build housing schemes across the North West. Due to continued growth, an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to support the commercial delivery of multiple residential developments from pre‑construction through to final account. Working closely with operational teams, subcontractors, and senior management, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered profitably and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the commercial aspects of D&B housing developments from inception to completion
- Preparing and managing project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating contract terms
- Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings and value engineering
- Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standards
- Producing accurate monthly CVRs and financial reporting
- Working collaboratively with site and project management teams to support successful project delivery
- Managing risk and resolving commercial issues effectively
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Proven experience as a Senior QS within the residential construction sector
- Strong knowledge of D&B housing projects
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent understanding of JCT contracts and commercial processes
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a fast‑paced environment
- Strong analytical and financial management skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
- Full UK driving licence
