We are a friendly and caring residential/nursing home dedicated to providing high-quality, person-centred care for our residents. We are looking for a warm, organised, and professional Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our home.
The Role
As our Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, residents, relatives, and external professionals. You will play an important role in creating a positive and welcoming environment while supporting the smooth running of the home’s administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome visitors, residents, and relatives in a friendly and professional manner
- Conduct tours of the home for prospective residents and their families
- Manage admission and discharge notifications
- Assist with preparing contracts and coordinating resident admissions
- Liaise effectively with external professionals and stakeholders
- Coordinate podiatry and hairdressing visits for residents
- Answer and direct phone calls and emails promptly
- Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
- Maintain visitor logs and ensure sign-in procedures are followed
- Support the management team with administrative tasks
- Assist with maintaining staff and resident records
- Order office supplies and support general office organisation
- Help coordinate meetings and appointments
- Ensure reception and waiting areas are tidy and welcoming
Requirements
- Highly organised with good attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office and email systems
- Able to multitask and prioritise workload
- A strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Reliable and able to maintain confidentiality
- Previous receptionist, front-of-house, or admin experience
- Experience in a care home, healthcare, or customer-facing environment (preferred but not essential)
