This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring legal professional to join a busy and supportive residential conveyancing team as a Trainee Conveyancing Paralegal.

You will assist in progressing residential property transactions from instruction to completion, working closely with experienced fee earners and reporting to the conveyancing partner. While this is a trainee position, prior experience within residential conveyancing is essential, and you will build on your existing knowledge within a structured and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the management of a caseload of residential conveyancing matters under supervision
  • Supporting transactions including missives, title checks, searches, LBTT submissions, registrations, and completion formalities
  • Drafting legal documentation such as dispositions, standard securities, and basic missives with guidance
  • Liaising with clients, lenders, solicitors, and estate agents in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintaining accurate file records in line with regulatory and internal procedures
  • Providing administrative and legal support to fee earners and the wider conveyancing team
About You
  • Previous experience in residential conveyancing within a legal environment is essential (e.g. legal assistant, paralegal, or trainee role)
  • Strong attention to detail with good drafting and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Confident communicator with a professional and client-focused approach
  • Basic understanding of the Scottish conveyancing process and relevant legislation
  • Eager to learn, develop, and build a long-term career in conveyancing
