The predicted salary is between 28500 - 32000 £ per year.

Starting rate £13.75ph moving up to £15.46ph after 12 weeks. Overtime after 37.5 hours paid at time and a third (1.33x). 37.5 hours per week - hours need to be flexible. Opportunity for further development. Permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

The Job Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Steel Tally Administrator to join a busy operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial and inventory records within a steel logistics company. This role requires a confident administrator who is comfortable working both in the office and out in the yard, supporting a variety of site-based tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central administrator for site documentation and reporting
  • Use Hi-Jump for data input, stock management, and system updates
  • Complete Excel-based tracking, logs, and administrative tasks
  • Manage data input for inbound materials and support weighbridge operations
  • Tracking steel inventory and reconciling stock
  • Carry out site inspections and ensure accurate and timely record-keeping
  • Visit the yard and sheds to check stock levels and collect required paperwork
  • Providing management with reports on inventory levels and collections
  • Support the wider team with general administration tasks as needed
  • Maintaining a safe, compliant, and organised work environment

What do you need to be a successful Steel Tally Administrator

  • Experience as a warehouse administrator or similar role
  • Confident using Excel and site-based systems (Hi-Jump experience desirable)
  • Comfortable working both in an office and yard environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Good communication and organisational ability
