The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 £ per year.

Hours of work: 07.30 - 16.00, potential overtime opportunities.

Location: York with site work as required.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium components as required ensuring the highest standard of finish.
  • Grind, sand, polish and detail fabrications to a required finish using hand tools and power tools.
  • Problem solving and decision making.
  • Able to work with no/minimum supervision.
  • Following daily plans and working to deadlines.
  • Recording all builds using internal database.
  • Communicating with Supervisors on progress, issues, problems.
  • Be flexible and assist in other departments if required.

Qualifications:

  • MIG TIG Aluminium & Stainless Steel Experience.
  • General education to include 5 GCSE passes at Grade C or above to include Maths & English, or an equivalent education.
  • Apprentice Trained or Time Served.

Personal Attributes:

  • Positive attitude to work, enthusiastic & committed.
  • Organised & flexible.
  • Knowledge of materials/grades of steel/metallurgy.
  • Knowledge of metal working machinery & equipment.
  • Recognise welding symbols and specification.
  • Would be beneficial to have a knowledge of coding but not essential.
