Our client is a well‑established engineering company based in St Leonards on Sea. A vacancy has arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join their busy engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess demonstrable experience within a warehouse, experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift, be computer literate and hold a good eye for detail. You will also be able to work well in a team and have an awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace.
As a Warehouse Operative you will be:
- Receiving delivery of goods and storing them
- Checking for damaged or missing items
- Moving stock by hand
- Packaging of goods
- Ensuring goods are loaded ready for sending
- Keeping and maintaining stock records
- Data entry
- Maintaining the warehouse in a clean and tidy manner
The Ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualities:
- Demonstrable experience within a Warehouse
- Experience of operating a Counterbalance Forklift
- Be computer literate
- Hold a good eye for detail
- Be able to work well in a team
- Ability to complete paperwork and take stock
- Awareness of Health and Safety in the workplace
- Able to work quickly and efficiently
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 1pm (39 Hours per week)
Full Time, Temp - Perm
