Kinetic are supporting a well-established and growing manufacturing business in St Helens with the recruitment of a permanent Paint Plant & Powder Coating Operative. The working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am to 3:30pm & Friday 7am to 12:30pm, totalling 37.5 hours per week, with a pay rate of £13.74 per hour.

Part of a successful group specialising in bespoke equipment for telecoms networks, the company has built an excellent reputation within the industry and continues to grow year on year. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast-paced business during an exciting period of investment and expansion.

Previous experience within powder coating or paint plant operations would be advantageous, although candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn will also be considered. Working as part of the Paint Plant team, you will help produce high-quality powder-coated components to exact customer specifications, ensuring products meet the highest quality standards before moving to the next stage of manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Correct loading, unloading and inspection of items on and off the paint line.
  • Correct handling and storage of materials.
  • Preparation and masking of parts to be painted.
  • Correct hanging of items to be painted, using hooks and jigs to maximise efficiency.
  • Masking items to drawings and specifications before they enter the painting process.
  • Safely moving parts in and out of the department.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices.
  • Adherence to all Health and Safety procedures.
  • Inspection, analysis and documentation of powder-coated products in line with specification.
  • Operate handheld powder coating guns along the automatic line.
  • Ensure the correct operation of the paint line to set procedures.
  • Powder coating of components.
Skills & Experience:

  • Ability to interpret job tickets and technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Previous powder coating or paint plant experience.
