Do you want to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable students? Simply Education is currently working with a SEND School in Holbeach to recruit a dynamic and resilient teaching assistant. As a teaching assistant, you will support vulnerable students with a range of different needs, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic success.
Key Responsibilities
- Building Positive Relationships: Establish a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel safe to express themselves and seek help when needed.
- Implementing Behaviour Management Strategies: Assist in implementing behaviour management strategies outlined in students' behaviour support plans using positive reinforcement, de-escalation strategies, and conflict resolution skills.
- Providing Emotional Support: Be an empathetic listener and provide encouragement and reassurance to help students cope with challenges and build resilience.
- Supporting Inclusion: Facilitate the participation of students and collaborate with teachers to modify activities and assignments to ensure accessibility for all students.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a school setting or experience in a care setting supporting children with learning disabilities.
- Adaptable, patient and resilient.
- Relevant qualifications in education or special needs support are advantageous but not essential.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
