A full-time opportunity for a dedicated Learning Practitioner (SEND) to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. This long-term role is available for a September start and offers a competitive daily rate of 95 to 120, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with teachers, the SENDCo, and senior leaders to provide targeted support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, deliver SEND-specific interventions, assist with lesson delivery and assessment, and help pupils access learning inside and outside the classroom.
- Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social development while promoting a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent (essential)
- GCSEs in English and Maths (essential)
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- Confident delivering interventions and supporting pupils with EHCPs
- Strong communication and literacy skills, patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
