We're working with a 5-star PLC developer to find an Assistant Site Manager to join a brand-new 100-unit traditional build development set within the peaceful surroundings of the South Downs. This is an early-stage project, giving you the opportunity to be part of the journey from the ground up and really make your mark. You’ll be working alongside an experienced Senior Site Manager, with additional support from a visiting Contracts Manager, so you’ll be in a strong environment to learn, develop and progress. For the right person, there’s a clear pathway into a Site Manager position.
The Role
This is a hands‑on position where you’ll be heavily involved in the day‑to‑day running of the site. You’ll help drive the build programme forward, maintain quality standards, and ensure targets are consistently achieved. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the delivery of a 100-unit traditional build development
- Assisting in managing trades, subcontractors, and site operations
- Driving performance against programme and key KPIs
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site presentation
- Supporting NHBC inspections and ensuring compliance with standards
- Helping to deliver quality homes on time and to a high specification
What We're Looking For
- Must have experience in residential housebuilding (ideally with a medium to large developer or high‑volume housebuilder)
- Solid understanding of NHBC standards and inspection processes
- Someone motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering results
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A team player who can also take ownership of their responsibilities
