About Us

Supply Staff is currently recruiting Core Subject Tutors to support students across Southend-on-Sea and surrounding areas. We are looking for experienced Core Subject Tutors who are passionate about helping students build confidence and achieve academic progress through personalised education.

Job Overview

As a Core Subject Tutor, you will provide one-to-one tuition in English, Maths, and Science for students working at varying academic levels. The ideal Core Subject Tutor will be confident supporting students outside mainstream education and adapting lessons to individual learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging one-to-one Core Subject Tutor sessions
  • Support students in English, Maths, and Science
  • Adapt learning materials to suit individual abilities and learning styles
  • Build positive relationships with students and families
  • Monitor progress and provide feedback where required

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years teaching or tutoring experience
  • Strong subject knowledge across core curriculum subjects
  • Ability to teach English and Maths confidently
  • DBS on the Update Service
  • Reliable and professional approach
  • PGCE, QTS, or SEN experience preferred
