Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Foundry Operatives for a well-established and busy manufacturing client in South Molton. This is an excellent opportunity to secure full-time work with a clear path to permanent employment.
Working Pattern
Hours: 6am - 6pm (rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm)
Key Duties
- Knock out moulds to remove shells post casting operation.
- Water blast moulds to remove residual shell for band saw operations.
- Cut castings using semi-automatic and manual band saws.
- Trim casting gates and remove surplus shell/metal.
- Dry blast components for a uniform matte finish.
- Remove hot moulds to support casting processes.
- Pack and identify castings for subcontract processes.
- Follow strict health and safety procedures and identify hazards.
- Work safely and collaboratively with team members.
- Assist team members with daily tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience maintaining safe working practices in challenging environments.
- Ability to follow job card routines and set procedures.
- Ability to interpret routing cards to meet specified standards.
- Ability to identify defects and perform quality checks.
