A rapidly growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint multiple Senior Civil Engineers to join its expanding wastewater infrastructure design team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced engineers looking to step into a more senior technical role with responsibility for project delivery, mentoring and design coordination, alongside a clear progression pathway toward Design Manager level.
The team delivers a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects including sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers, pumping stations, gravity sewer systems and pipeline rehabilitation schemes. Following an initial onboarding period in the office, the role will move to a hybrid working arrangement.
The Role
- Lead the detailed design and delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects, supporting technical delivery across multiple schemes while mentoring engineers and technicians within the team.
- Oversee design development, optioneering and project coordination across wastewater network projects, ensuring compliance with Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water Industry standards and UK regulatory frameworks.
- Support project programming, resourcing and technical review, while working closely with clients, contractors and utility providers throughout project delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' UK experience within wastewater infrastructure or pipeline design
- Strong understanding of sewerage rising mains, trunk sewers and drainage hydraulics
- Experience working to Sewerage Sector Guidance, Water UK and relevant UK standards
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D and hydraulic modelling software such as InfoWorks ICM, MicroDrainage or EPANET
- Experience reviewing designs and mentoring junior staff
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience with hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, transient flow or pressure management would be beneficial but is not essential.
