A growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Junior CAD Technician to join its team in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career looking to gain hands-on experience within a professional engineering environment while working on a range of infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

The role would suit someone with strong attention to detail, good technical aptitude and an interest in developing a long-term career within CAD and engineering design.

The Role

  • Support the production and modification of CAD drawings across live engineering projects while working closely with experienced technicians and engineers.
  • Support document management and project administration activities, helping ensure drawings and technical information are issued and maintained correctly throughout project delivery.
  • Receive ongoing support and mentoring, with opportunities to further develop skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and wider CAD software within a collaborative team environment.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong IT skills and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation would be beneficial.
  • Any exposure to AutoCAD Civil 3D would be advantageous.
