NEOS Engineering are currently working with a well-established OEM organisation who are looking for an experienced PDI Technician to join the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer to work with modern heavy equipment in a clean, professional workshop environment with strong long-term progression opportunities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out pre‑delivery inspections, assembly, testing, and preparation of new heavy plant equipment prior to customer delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring machines are delivered to the highest standards while supporting workshop operations and quality control processes.

The Role

  • Carrying out PDI inspections on new heavy plant equipment
  • Assembly, testing, and commissioning of machinery
  • Completing diagnostic checks and ensuring machines meet OEM standards
  • Identifying and rectifying faults prior to delivery
  • Completing all associated paperwork and inspection reports
  • Supporting workshop engineers and service teams where required
  • Maintaining high standards of health & safety and workshop housekeeping

The Candidate

  • Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Plant Fitter, Service Engineer, or Workshop Engineer
  • Background working on heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, or similar
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault‑finding skills
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment advantageous
  • Motivated and professional attitude with strong attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving Licence
